Day 45 - Jack's Farm, Leffingwell Landing

Jack's Farm is the ultimate pumpkin patch - featuring over 120 varieties of pumpkins and gourds. It's a 5th generation operation - currently run by 2 very enthusiastic sisiters. The general store is stocked with all sorts of delectables! Right after Thanksgiving they bring in a huge variety of Christmas trees and light the place up. Wish we were here to see that!

Every farm needs a cat.

Never, ever go into the cornfield.

And then we stumble upon the secret Goodyear Experimental Big Tyre Farm. Tyres are grown here in total secrecy to avoid the anti-GMO hippies who oppose the use of genetically-enhanced growth hormone to grow bigger, fatter tyres in less time, using less water for them new American Muscle Cars.

The crazy single track that goes in and out of the Goodyear Tyre Farm.

At the end of the single-track, and under the bridge... there ain't nuthin' like a day at the beach.

The World's First Levitating Dog. Just wait 'till the anti-GMO hippies see this.

Photography is soooo boring! Stop looking at stuff and throw the ball!

The tidepools at Leffingwell await. Low tide is just an illusion here. We don't think the tide does much more than lurk in waiting for idiots wanting to see tidepools.

The surf is so ferocious even the mussels squeeze into little crevices to survive.

Surf salad. A Michelin 3 star couldn't have arranged it any better.

It's a funky kind of abstract shape until you realize this is an oil spill.

Secret Cove - there's an astonishing array of beach debris and vegetation in here. All sleeping together.

That's the tracks of a small dog having a really good day at the beach. Yes, we walked back and forth a few times.

Today's Mystery Poo.

We wrap up our day at the beach down in Morro Bay - no we never did get out of the car.
